NZ Polocrosse
Polocrosse is a fast-paced, action-packed team sport on horseback, combining the skills of polo and lacrosse. Players use a racket with a net to catch, carry, and pass a soft rubber ball, all while on horseback. Rare Horse Society of NZ
Dedicated to preserving rare and heritage horse breeds through education, events, and breeder connections, the Society raises awareness of these unique horses and the challenges they face, inspiring people to help secure their future. They’re bringing an incredible line-up to Equifest, including one of the only Exmoor Ponies in the country. Don’t miss these extraordinary equines on show!
Kapiti Equestrian & Vaulting Club
Vaulting is best described as gymnastics on the back of a moving horse, which is worked on a circle, under the control of a lunger.
Come and witness head coach Catarina and the team as they showcase vaulting, which is becoming popular in New Zealand.
American Quarter Horse Assn NZ
The versatility of the Quarter Horse will be on show with demos from the The American Quarter Horse Association – NZ Inc. Watch as the AQHANZ showcase their trainability and versatility covering showmanship, horsemanship, western riding, trail, cutting, reining and barrels.
NZ Western Riding Federation
The Western Riding Federation of NZ will showcase the versatility and style of western disciplines with daily demonstrations. From showmanship and horsemanship to trail, ranch riding, and working cow horse, spectators can enjoy the skill, partnership, and tradition that make western riding such a dynamic and exciting equestrian sport.
Horowhenua & Districts Harness Driving
Along with featuring in Friday's Nightshow, the scurrying team will showcase their sport with daily demos.
Teams of ponies and drivers race against the clock through a twisting course of cones, showcasing precision and daring skill. Fast-paced and thrilling to watch, it’s a crowd favourite that guarantees plenty of cheers.
