Equifest 2021 was set to be a celebration of everything we love about our equine industry here in New Zealand. We were so close the event was shaping up to be phenomenal with exhibitor numbers and ticket sales well ahead of last year. However sadly, the current COVID 19 outbreak and subsequent lockdowns have realistically taken the decision out of our control, and we have announced the postponement of the 2021 event.
The decision to postpone was not made lightly and has been done in consultation with many of our stakeholders. We are devastated but feel that in order to ensure the survival of the event we need to make this decision now. Restrictions on crowd sizes make it impossible for Equifest to operate until Level 1.
We would like to thank you… our visitors for your continued support through this challenging time and for the extraordinary kind messages of support over the last few weeks. it is evident to see that Equifest is more than just an event, it is a place for connection of family and friends, a place to learn and to truly celebrate everything wonderful about New Zealand’s equestrian industry.
We are very lucky to have amazing support from our sponsors, exhibitors, educators and the venue and because of this we have been able to secure a postponement date of 4 – 6 February 2022. The complexity of managing 175 exhibitors, 150 timetabled events and 2 Nightshows plus an extremely busy equine calendar and contending with other events that have also been forced to postpone is never going to be ideal and finding a suitable date is extremely difficult. However, as a small business whose future relies heavily on the Equifest event going ahead we hope you can make the new dates.
TICKER HOLDERS:
If you have already bought tickets to the orginal October dates, these are still valid for the new event dates 4 - 6 February 2022, there is no need for tickets to be re-issued. If you are unable to make the new event dates and would like a refund, please contact info@equifest.co.nz with your name, email and ticket confirmation number and we will issue you a refund for your tickets.
NOTE: refunds due to the date change must be requested prior to Tuesday 19 October. Otherwise normal ticketing terms and conditions apply.
As you can appreciate our ticketing team is fielding a large number of requests and will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
