It really wouldn't be a celebration without our favourite sisters Vicki, Kelly and Amanda. The Wilson Sisters have time after time shown their commitment to New Zealand's equine industry and we are excited to announce that they have come on board as Equifest Ambassadors.
The Ambassadors will present hands-on and practical education sessions throughout the 3-days, ensuring visitors have the chance to learn some valuable training tips. Plus, you can also see their talents shine in the entertaining nightshows.
Vicki, Kelly and Amanda Wilson are prominent figures on the international equestrian scene, renowned for their successes at the highest levels of showjumping and world-class horsemanship.
Since 2012, the sisters have also become widely known for taming wild horses around the world. We are proud to welcome them onboard.
Vicki Wilson
After working her way up from local ribbon days, Vicki has now won more awards at the New Zealand Horse of the Year show than any other rider in history. Winning a World Cup in 2014 took her showjumping career to another level, and she’s now one of New Zealand’s most successful riders. After winning the prestigious Road to the Horse in the USA in 2017 and backing it up in 2018 she has become established as a leading young horse trainer.
Vicki continues to show-jump, compete and run her equine therapy workshops.
Kelly Wilson
Back in 2012 when her journey with the Kaimanawas began, Kelly had no idea where her affinity for wild horses would take her.
Now, alongside a long list of bestselling books and award-winning photographs of wild horses, Kelly is the only trainer in the world to have achieved top 6 finishes in the Extreme Mustang Makeover, Kaimanawa Stallion Challenges and Australian Brumby Challenge.
Amanda Wilson
Amanda is one of New Zealand’s leading coaches and showjumpers, having competed to World Cup level.
Each year she teaches hundreds of riders across the country, sharing her in-depth knowledge on the mechanisms of rider position, finding the correct balance in the horse, how to produce happy and sound horses, improve rider confidence and more.
